CARE GUIDE

Water

Water your citrus plant abundantly when the top layer of soil dries 2-3 cm deep. If it is cool in the room in autumn and winter, reduce watering.

Light

Put your plant right in front of a bright window that gets a lot of direct sunlight for at least 8 hours per day, the plant should be located not further than 1 meter from this window. You should better use grow lights to provide your plant with the right amount of light if you don't have a place with direct bright light. Using grow lights is also essential during all the winter season for this plant as UV level is not enough during this period.

Fertilization

Feed your plant once a month from spring to autumn. Use a complex mineral fertilizer for decorative leafy plants. Do not feed the plant in winter.

Humidity

Citrus plants prefer high humidity level, so moisture the leaves regularly in spring and summer period. Regularly wipe the foliage with a damp soft cloth.

Repotting

Repot young plants annually, older ones - once in 2-3 years. A new pot should be slightly larger than the old one. The soil should be water and air permeable. First pour a layer of expanded clay and some soil at the bottom of the pot. Move the plant to a new pot and fill all the voids with fresh potting mix. Water the plant after repotting.

Rotation

Rotating houseplants is important for providing the plant with even light exposure. It helps to ensure that all parts of the plant get enough light and helps to prevent the plant from becoming lopsided or leaning in one direction due to uneven light exposure. The best way to rotate your houseplants is to turn them a quarter turn each week in the same direction. That way, each side of the plant will get equal amounts of light.
