How fast do you ship orders?

We typically ship orders within 1 business day. However, during the winter months, order processing may be delayed if extreme weather conditions pose risks to plant shipping. Once your order is dispatched, we will provide you with a tracking number.

How do I change my order?

There is a very limited time window where we can make changes to your order. If there is an error that needs to be corrected, please contact us via hello@planteia.com.

What is the return policy?

All orders are backed by our happiness guarantee. Our return policy is 30 days from purchase.

Do I need to transplant a plant after purchase?

No, our plants are already transplanted into our exclusive 5-component soil mix, designed for optimal growth and health. You won’t need to repot them immediately. However, after 6–12 months, you may consider repotting based on the plant’s growth.

How are the plants packed?

We use secure, insulated packaging with protective materials to keep plants safe during transit. In cold weather, we include heat packs to prevent temperature stress and ensure plants arrive in perfect condition.

How should I choose my first plant ever?

If you’re new to houseplants, we recommend starting with a low-maintenance, resilient plant that thrives with minimal care. You can explore our Easy-Care Plants collection, which includes ZZ plants, snake plants, and pothos and many more plants, all of which adapt well to different home environments and require little watering or attention.

Are your plants locally grown?

Yes! Our plants are locally grown and fully acclimated to thrive in your environment. They are cultivated under controlled conditions to ensure long-term health and easy adaptation to your home.

How should I care for plants after delivery?

After receiving your plant:

  • Unpack it immediately and check the soil moisture.
  • Place it in bright, indirect light (or under a grow lamp if needed).
  • Water only if necessary—our exclusive soil mix retains moisture well.
  • Allow it to adjust for a few days before making any changes to its care routine.

What happens if my plant looks stressed after shipping?

Plants may experience minor stress from transit, such as slight drooping or a few fallen leaves, which is normal. Ensure they are placed in adequate light, avoid overwatering, and give them time to adjust. If concerns persist, contact us for guidance.

Do I need a grow lamp for my plants?

Some plants, especially fruiting and tropical varieties (e.g., lemon trees, olive trees, monsteras), require high light levels to thrive. In Canada, natural light is often insufficient from October to May, so we recommend using a full-spectrum grow lamp to maintain plant health.

How do I know when to water my plant?

Each plant has different watering needs, but as a general rule:

  • Check the topsoil – If the top 2-3 cm (1 inch) is dry, it’s time to water.
  • Avoid overwatering, as our exclusive soil mix retains moisture well.
  • You can also use the Planteia App for watering reminders tailored to your plant’s needs.

What should I do if I see pests on my plant?

All our plants come from a pest-free greenhouse, but pests can sometimes appear due to environmental conditions after delivery. If you notice any pests:

  • Isolate the plant to prevent spreading.
  • Use a natural insecticide (e.g., neem oil or insecticidal soap).
  • Adjust watering – Overwatering can create conditions for fungus gnats.
  • Ensure good airflow and adequate light to keep your plant healthy.

LEVIO - Levitating Plant

What material is Levio made out of?

The planter and the base are made of sustainably sourced oak-veneer finished with natural oil for wood.

How does levitation work?

Levio floats freely in mid-air via magnetic levitation thanks to electronic mechanism inside the platform.

How do I levitate my Levio?

You need just a few seconds to make your Levio fly. First connect the A/C adaptor to the base. Then take the planter with both hands. Lower the planter over the center of the base and release it gently when you feel no gravity. You will see the planter floating over the base. If the planter fails to levitate, avoid forcing it in the center of the base of moving side to side. Just raise it above the base and try again.

What happens in case of a power shortage?

In case of a power shortage, the planter will simply lower back to the base. Just place the planter product back in levitation once power is restored.
