Water
Zamioculcas doesn't like overwatering. When the top 3-5 cm of soil are thoroughly dry to the touch, it is safe to water again. If it's cool in your room in winter, reduce watering.
Light
The plant is shade tolerant. However, it will slow down in growth if placed in low light. Hence, it is preferable to put it in a place with indirect sunlight near the window to promote the plants growth. Grow lights are recommended to be used during the low light winter season
Fertilization
Feed your plant once a month from spring to autumn. Use a complex mineral fertilizer for decorative leafy plants. Do not feed the plant in winter.
Humidity
Only wipe the foliage of Zamioculcas regularly with a damp soft cloth to moisturize it and keep clean.
Repotting
Repot young plants annually, adult ones - about once every 3 years. The new pot should be slightly larger than the old one. The soil must be air and water permeable. At the bottom of the pot, pour a layer of expanded clay and some soil. Move the plant to a new pot and carefully fill the voids in the pot with fresh substrate. Water the plant moderately in a week after repotting.
Rotation
Rotating houseplants is important for providing the plant with even light exposure. It helps to ensure that all parts of the plant get enough light and helps to prevent the plant from becoming lopsided or leaning in one direction due to uneven light exposure. The best way to rotate your houseplants is to turn them a quarter turn each week in the same direction. That way, each side of the plant will get equal amounts of light.
